New Otterbox Crush-Proof iPhone Cases

Otterbox recently announced that they will be releasing their new Armor Series iPhone cases for iPhone 4/4S and iPhone 5. These cases will probably become the best, providing ultimate protection. They are capable of lasting up to 30 minutes in a 6.6 ft. submersion in water, drop proof from resisting a drop from 10 ft. in the air because it has over-molded bumpers in each corner, dust proof, by letting no entry of debris or dust from vents and port covers made of a non-permeable membrane and protective mesh layer, and the feature I love, is crush proof, meaning they can withstand a drop of 2 tons on them. They're made with reinforced plastic, and have a soft interior foam. It's like the phone case version of Superman. This is just incredible. The cases will be available to ship starting February 22 for iPhone 4/4S, and sometime soon for iPhone 5. The only downside, it's price, which is a good 99 bucks. I don't know, might be worth it.

  1. Otterbox cases are pretty awesome. Looking forward to this one!

Though the LifeProof cases are " ...waterproof, dust-proof and shock-proof..". I wonder if Otterbox has these features too?

  2. I would rather support Lifeproof than Otterbox

  3. This case is way too expensive, $99.00 for it,the Lifeproof is cheaper than that. I was hoping that they would have been at a cheaper price.

  4. Dust-proof, eh? Is the camera protection just glass or is there a something that keeps dust out by covering the glass too? How about a dust-resistant case...one that doesn't allow dust to accumulate in the corners of the screen protector and over the camera glass. Show me one that prevents this and it'll be the next case I buy. This Ballistic HC case (which I highly recommend over the Defender) has glass protection over the camera lens, but no cover you can slide across or put on when you're not using the camera so dust doesn't accumulate.

  5. That's overpriced as hell. And I think hell is pretty overpriced.

  6. What case would that be? Lifeproof has the same waterproof rating meaning 6.6 ft for 30 minutes. It's on their specifications page.

  7. I would rather spend my 99$ on something more useful, like adopting a child from kenya. :)
